Why Your PTA Matters

At its heart, PTA is about building connections and working together to support the health, well-being, and educational needs of all students.

A Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) serves as an essential partner in the success of the entire school community. The PTA is a crucial bridge, connecting parents, teachers, and administrators in a collaborative effort to supplement resources and support educational initiatives. Through fundraising and volunteer efforts, the PTA provides funds for important programs, enrichment activities, and classroom supplies that directly benefit our students. The PTA also promotes advocacy at the local and state levels to improve our public schools for all children. The collective power of the PTA is mighty!

Alone we can do little... together we can do so much.
— Helen Keller

Your Echo Lake PTA fosters community engagement and creates a sense of belonging and shared responsibility among families, staff, and students. Our goal is to enhance the learning environment and ensure every child has access to enriching and memorable experiences.

What Your PTA Does

The Echo Lake PTA supports the Echo Lake community of staff, students, and families by providing resources, both human and financial, to strengthen connections and enrich education. Here are some of the ways we make a difference:

  • Teacher grants for classroom equipment and supplies

  • Books for the library and the book vending machine

  • Coordination with The Works and our Family Advocate to help meet the needs of families in our community (clothing, food, and more)

  • Supporting field trips and activities to reduce or cover costs for families

  • Enrichment grants for special educational programs, guest speakers, and authors

  • Hosting community-building events like Trunk-or-Treat, STEM Night, Art Night, and more

  • Celebrating our community through awards such as the Golden Acorn and Outstanding Educator

  • Showing appreciation for our dedicated teachers and staff

  • Partnering with the school to find creative ways to support learning and community
